We offer a hospital supervision service for parents with children requiring supervision in a hospital setting. This service enables parents to maintain contact and develop a bond with their child while ensuring the child’s safety in situations where concerns have been raised by the local authority.
Our family practitioners provide 24/7 support to facilitate safe contact between parent and child, will complete direct parenting work and prepare daily record logs to support any investigations or assessments. These logs can be used in public and criminal investigations.
Furthermore, our practitioners support parents in developing their parenting skills to identify, respond and meet their child’s basic care needs to a good standard whilst also ensuring the child’s immediate safety.
Our hospital supervision service is available 24 hours a day and staff can be onsite on average within the hour.
We also provide staffing for any child or young person who may require supervision whilst in a hospital setting. Staff can be provided who are fully trained in DoLs and restraint, where there is an added safeguarding risk and requirement for protection.
